Nebraska Ranch Horse Association strives to meet the varying needs of ranches, horsemen, cattlemen and showman from across the state.  We utilize a team with various knowledge and resources to ensure our program is meeting that goal.  Please reach out if you would like to join our team!

Events Management

Alyssa Kracke - Princeton, NE

Alyssa grew up participating in 4-H in Southeast Nebraska. Through 4-H Alyssa participated in all classes from English to western. She attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and graduated in 2013 with a BS in Animal Science with an equine emphasis. After college, she showed in Western Dressage and Ranch Riding.  Even though she’s not actively showing, horses hold a special place in her heart because of the experiences she had at a young age and she enjoys sharing that with others.

Alyssa was interested in initiating the Nebraska Ranch Horse Association because the connections that we can encourage in the horse community as well as facilitate participants to enjoy their horses.  She has been managing our events since 2020.

Marketing & Fundraising

Chelsea Harders - Dorchester, NE

Chelsea participated in the Lancaster 4H Equine Program growing up.  She attended the Nebraska College of Technical Ag and acquired an Associates in Equine Health Care.  While she was in college, she showed on the Ranch Horse Team.  Chelsea actively shows in AQHA and ARHA classes pertaining to Versatility Ranch Horse and Reined Cow Horse.  She is the trainer and owner of Straight Arrow Cowhorses.

Chelsea was interested in initiating the Nebraska Ranch Horse Association because she wanted a relaxed environment that her clients and her could show horses in ranching events.  She has initiated the Stallion Service Auction program which is Nebraska Ranch Horse Associations largest fundraising event.

Ring Safety & Stewardship

Tom Harders - Crete, NE

Tom has been a long time supporter of his daughter, Chelsea Harders, in the horse world.  Tom stepped up to help with gate management during our first shows and has not missed any to date.  He is really in the front lines and brings the best customer service to our supporters at events.  He was awarded the Nebraska Ranch Horse Association’s Greatest Volunteer in 2022 for all his hard work.  Without Tom our events would not be as organized or safe.

Stock Management

Michael Kracke - Princeton, NE

Michael grew up raising and showing Hereford cattle for Kracke Herefords near Clatonia, NE.  He has been attending and managing cattle at all the Nebraska Ranch Horse Association events.  Michael is our stockman that ensures we address the cattle needs at events.  He has been learning horse show requirements and is a very valuable team member.  He’s not always seen because he’s behind the scenes, but we wouldn’t be getting cattle sent in the gates without his hard work.

Marketing & AMA Rep

Kassandra Stangl - Lincoln, NE

Kassandra had an interest in this organization because she has mustangs and has rescued horses that are not registered in a breed association.  She firmly believes in an organization like this one because it’s a fun, relaxing place where all kinds of horses can come together to compete.

Kassandra has been in the organization from the conception.  She has done photography at events and always provides a new competitors viewpoint in our discussions.

YTH Marketing & OPEN Rep

Ashley Tomberg - Sidney, NE

Ashley is a military veteran and donates so much of her time. Her foundation is in Grand Prix show jumping and Dressage. She has competed on the international stage and in a multitude of countries. She is currently specializing in foundation and show pen preparation for the futurity and derby horses. In 2022, she had the NeRHA Open Jackpot Year End Cow Horse, Ranch Horse and Overall Versatility Horse of the year.
 
Ashley Tomberg has provided clinics and marketing merchandise for the NeRHA. She understands the challenges of the industry for new comers and youth. She is devoted to bringing in new youth and helping them reach their goals. She sponsors many youth items at our events through The Heifer House.

Merchandise, Awards & NOVICE Rep

Shanna Schulz - Osmond, NE

Shanna’s background is in barrel racing and she is new to the ranch horse classes.  Her first year competing was in 2022 and she plans to continue to increase her skills and advance to cattle classes.  For several years she was a producer of one of the largest Nebraska weeknight barrel races that had attendees from seven states.

She is a great supporter and representative of novice riders in the program.  She ensures our award program for shows and year end are impressive!  She also finds amazing merchandise to aid in advancing the Nebraska Ranch Horse Association.
